I remember trying to interrupt without seeing the foes skill charge, that was fun.

PUGing Last Days Dawn with my Monk and that npc dude still got creamed by the Titans at the end despite listening to my teammates and bonding the guy.

B/Ping tombs in PUGs before Heroes were introduced.

- wiping within 15 seconds of entering FoW with that first ele group while PUGing (people still do that!!)

-Flaring my way through the game up until i got out of the ascalonian areas LOL...man that spell was so good, 5e and no recharge! me and my bro would go out by ourselves (we didn't know you could bring henchies) and run duo-flarers and spike down one or two charr before the rest overwhelmed us. then we got stuck in Piken Square because that first group of charr outside the entrance was too powerful (we had forgotten about map travel LOL) - we were stuck there for about a week if i remember correctly.

-finding out how to 55 and trying it for the first time, being like "ZOMG! THIS IS SO COOL!!"

-getting that quest "The Duke's Daughter" and, seeing how far you had to travel, being like "screw that, we are skipping that one" - looking back, that was a pretty easy quest.

-the guild hall map travel bug - got to droks really quickly that way lol

ahh...such good times.

Spending close to 60k on a 20/20 Rockmolder. Luckily I got to use it a lot before it was nerfed.

My first character was a Mesmer, and i had to practically beg people to let me get on their teams for anything PvE. Its a miracle I ever saw FoW or UW at all.

GvG meta with heavy Ranger Spirit spam and Lord Camping.

Chain Lightning spikers

Boon Prots. They were so much fun.

I had actually forgotten about the Monk strike.

Capping elites used to be a huge pain in the ass.

My first time in PvP, I was in the arena at Droknar's Forge, and I tried running a Power Block build since I thought the effect was totally badass. We got through one game, which we lost, and I was promptly kicked off the team. I didnt catch a damn thing with PB and the rest of my bar was filled with Illusion spells. :-D

The QQing over THK
Massive amounts of people in SF (and no cap on the amount of minions you could have)
When the economy crashed and ectos could be bought for 100g or so.
Ettin and Griffin farming
IWAY in Tombs
Ether Renewal, Dual Orders R-spike and Boon Prots.
FoW Chest runs
And alot more that I can't think of atm.

yeah, wished I had remember about that when I added a Zealous mod to my r9 gold max 14% uncond. CHAOS AXE. It added an extra -1 energy degen and when I salvaged the mod one -1 energy remained.
Forgot that they added the extra -1s on unconditions as a nerf. yeah, still crying over it. Still have the Chaos Axe. Anyone know what's it's worth now?

the first halloween ......mad kings jokes werent really old (yet)....not knowing what emotes to do. getting the pumpkin mask (yep still have it on 2 characters---cant seem to throw it away even though I showed it to the mask maker)...oh yeah, getting all those masks and having no place to store them.

the first wintersday....everyone doing the quest and not knowing where the socks were or the termites....and the gingerbread focus and candy shields (still have them too)....
getting my santa hat and antlers (yep still got them too....somehow I just dont trust that mask maker). And my mesmer running thru the ascension mission so she could get to dorks for the last part of that wintersday quest-----

now the quests are old, mad kings jokes are about as funny as hitting my head on the table and everyone knows the emotes--in order!
sigh

Finding Sorrows Furnace for the first time the hard way and exploring the area.

And hoping for a good boss spawn on THK took many attempts but finally made it on my main. Back then a solo trip with Hench was very very hard

- Running a boon prot although I never got to play one with Energy Drain
- Running chests in the desert
- Getting destroyed by Ether Renewal in RA
- Fighting from Lornar's to Droks with a group of 6 using no elites, armor from LA, non max weapons, etc...
- Activation bars on skills didn't exist
- Tombs had 10 districts, always, and ranked groups were rare. Rifts.
- No aftercast on Ranger interrupts

*farming for respec points
*black dyes selling for over 50k
*people looking for groups and marketing themselves as "ascended", thinking they were hot stuff
*tombs being Heroes' Ascent - and IWAY dominating
*armor specific bonuses(like gladiator's for extra energy)

Ahh, those were the days.

I never forget farming Ettins and getting superior absorption or vigor. Man it was 100k a pop at the time.
I made a fortune.

I remember getting to LA the first time, it was such a huge city I felt lost.

Old Dye system, the new one sucks. (color wise)

The first Halloween, that was the best time ever.

The time when Ectos were like 100gold and people bought a ton of them, sadly I missed that although I was logged in that day.

Sorrows Furnace update.

The second time the market crashed, and how they shutdown the game to restore from an older backup.

First time I landed in the desert (still my favorite spot of the game - the music there is just amazing) and how I was nervous knowing that soon I will be facing the doppelganger (it had a different name back then)

The Monk strike.

How THK was the mission that everyone gets stuck at.
